About Andy Valenzuela
Andy has nearly 40 years of diversified experience working with public and private companies, including nonprofits, providing tactical and strategic advice on critical business decisions across a broad range of domestic and international disciplines.
He has served in a variety of industries including foodservice, retail, restaurants, food manufacturing, manufacturing of specialty tools for the aircraft industry, cross-border in-bond manufacturing, construction and e-commerce.
Andy’s concentrated areas of expertise include maximizing cash flow, bank and lending relationships, interim management consulting, financial restructuring, operational turnaround, secured and unsecured creditor advisory and investigative accounting.
He was the founding COO/CFO of a startup import/export achieving year over year 50% sales growth with oversight for accounting, treasury, currency exchange, HR, risk management, logistics, warehousing, US/Mexican Customs compliance and FDA compliance.
His other areas of experience include:
- Coaching and mentoring bilingual, English/Spanish, workgroups to excel in management operations performance.
- Start-ups, launch and roll out of new products, market segmentation and positioning.
- Systems integration and upgrades achieving transition from main frame batch processing, multisite manufacturing locations, to PC based intranet networks.
- Transaction flow analysis geared to determine key success factors maximizing shareholder value.
Growing up in Southern California, Andy is consciously ware of the cultural nuances impacting cross-border international business transactions. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a degree in Business Economics and did postgraduate work at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management in Accounting and Finance.
