Greg has 25 years of financial management and operational experience as a CFO for businesses ranging from closely held start-ups to venture backed organizations. A native of Southern California, Greg has worked in a variety of industries including home infusion therapy, physician practice management, medical device manufacturing, clothing/apparel manufacturing and distribution, screen printing, trucking/distribution, engineering support services, direct sales, advertising/marketing, software sales/support, and telecommunications. Greg considers himself a business man first, an accounting professional second, having been a participating owner in four companies leading them financially from inception to sale.
Greg's diverse industry experience allows him to quickly analyze all aspects of the business to identify problem areas and develop solutions that work. His understanding of finance and operations allows him to develop the financial systems to support the company's operations. He possess high-level skills in strategic business planning, establishment of operational/financial controls, transaction structuring, systems integration, human resources, and risk management. Greg has years of expertise in developing financial forecasts that have been used to raise capital and support business plans. In his most recent venture, his forecasts helped secure $22 million in venture capital financing for a start-up medical device company. Greg has been involved in numerous business acquisitions and possess the keen ability to dissect the legal language and make sure that the deal terms clearly state the intentions of the parties. Greg also has experience in dealing with companies that have run into financial problems. Prior to joining B2B CFO® he played a key role in keeping a company operational after it downsized from 50 plus employees to 3.
Seven years ago Greg joined B2B CFO®. He was confident that he could use his skills and experiences to assist the underserved mid-market companies that needed the experience of a CFO but could not afford one full-time. Greg has helped almost 20 companies to take control of their finances, increase profitability, reduce overhead and free up cash for the owners to reap the rewards of their hard work. Many of these companies are still clients as Greg has forged long-term relationships with them. Greg is a hands on manager and enjoys solving his clients problems. He works well with employees at all levels within an organization and fosters loyalty and top performance from staff members. Greg holds a degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting from Cal State University at Fullerton. He is active in his community and has held the position of Finance Chair for his children's private school and served as a board member of a local sports club. Greg and his wife of 23 years reside in South Orange County with their two sons and daughter.
